Pop song in style of 1960's It has all the elements: it does have that 60’s sound but over the last few years a lot of people have written in this style. Green Day, ‘cause they sometimes do it and do it really well. I think the end of the verse is really clever where you don’t know what’s coming next with the ‘interrupted cadence’ hammering the point home. Again the way you introduce the modulation is great: it’s becoming your fingerprint. I love the guitar part too. Again, it sounds like ‘you’ve heard it before’ kinda thing. Bar 53 is really clever, the way it modulates to D for the outro. |
